Professional Background and Civic Involvement
Mr. Franklin T. Agamata has been in the field of management practice, academic, training, and research in the last 20 years.
He is a Certified Public Accountant, graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration course and Master in Business Administration at the Philippine School of Business Administration (PSBA).
His exposure in establishing and operating business organizations dealing with academic and training operations, financing, and trading had significantly helped him in writing a textbook in Management Advisory Services in 2002 with its second edition in 2004. In the early part of 2005, he published a Reviewer in Management Advisory Services. In 1994 and 1995, he wrote articles for the Accountant’s Journal of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants dealing in the area of education and ethics.
Primarily an academician in training, he has had appointments as a Dean, Vice President and President in various colleges. He was also a member of the Education Task Force of the Board of Accountancy of the Professional Regulations Commission.
An active member of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants, he was a Member of its National Board of Directors in 1992 and 1993, a member of Committee on Advocacy and the Committee on Students’ Participation. He was also a member of the Ethics Board in 2003. He is also an accredited speaker of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He now holds appointments as a Reviewer and Review Coordinator at PSBA CPA Review Center, and as a faculty member both in the University of Sto. Tomas and Far Eastern University.
